Schulungsstaffel Frühjahr 2010 buchbar

Ab heute besteht für SAP UA Mitglieder die Möglichkeit sich zu vielen Themen zu insgesamt 50 Schulungstagen der UA Staffel im Frühjahr 2010 anzumelden (Members Area -> Termine). Neben SAP ERP Einführungsschulungen werden auch SAP Spezialkurse zu anderen Produkten der SAP Business Suite, zur Entwicklung sowie SAP NetWeaver Technologien angeboten.

SAP is extending its University Alliances Program to Portugal

SAP University Alliances’ EMEA department, headed in Walldorf/Germany, has acquired Portugal to be the next candidate for joining the SAP University Alliances Program. Twelve academics of Portugal's leading universities and institutions of higher education attended a kick-off presentation in Lisbon on September 14th and witnessed the official signing of an agreement between SAP and UMIC, an initiative of the Portuguese Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education. The initiative aims, within the higher education space in Portugal, at boosting the offer of high qualifications and competencies in software applications that fully address the increasing needs of the Portuguese enterprises. Among the attendees were representatives from the following renowned institutions, that are interested in joining the program: Universidade Aberta, Universidade de Évora, Universidade do Minho, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Universidade do Porto, Instituto Politécnico de Santarém, and ISCTE.

The Portuguese institutions will be hosted and supported by the German SAP University Competence Center Munich. All academics showed great interest in SAP’s University Alliances Program and were sure to join soon in order to take advantage of its benefits for institutions of higher education.

SAP University Alliances, Foris Telecom offer cutting-edge technology to Eduardo Mondlane University.

The Eduardo Mondlane University, in Maputo, is the oldest and largest institution of higher learning in Mozambique. The MOU will be used as a pilot for the rollout of the SAP University Alliances curriculum to sub-Saharan Africa and other regions in the continent. The agreement fits in with the Foris Telecom objective of bringing broadband to the masses in least developed countries. We believe in the value that the SAP University Alliance Programme will provide in bridging the skills divide, says Dr Yonathan Mizrachi, Digital Inclusion and eGovernment Officer at Foris Telecom.

The University Alliance Programme is by far an honest and highly important initiative to take part in for human capacity development,. he adds.

African development is a critical part of what the University Alliance is about. This initiative therefore adds impetus to the SAP campaign for talent and skills for rapidly developing and growing markets,. says Max Fuzani, University Alliances Manager at SAP Africa.

The Eduardo Mondlane University will join several other universities that are already part of the SAP University Alliances around the globe.

Hello everyone and welcome to the new University Alliances Community. The driving force behind innovation is people – talented and skilled people. People like you, who promote excellence in education at every level. People who recognize the benefits of interaction between disciplines, and who welcome open collaboration and exchange of ideas. That is why SAP, as an innovation-driven company, has always supported and actively pursued cooperation with communities. The SAP Community Network began as an exchange platform for developers, but it has quickly grown to an online community of one and a half million users. Community building is key for cooperation and co-innovation with our customers and partners. Recently, we have expanded the reach of our community network. Now we are reaching out to equally important audiences such as academics, professors, and students. For many years, SAP has supported higher education by creating an environment where innovation and excellence can flourish. We began forming strategic alliances with universities nearly two decades ago, by setting up programs with key institutions around the world. The SAP University Alliances program is a global initiative that now has over 900 campuses in more than 40 countries. With this program, SAP provides free licenses to its business software. Member universities use the software in disciplines such as management, operations research, finance, business intelligence, marketing, and computer science. The program enables students at participating campuses to experience how organizations operate more productively and profitably. The advanced instruction includes hands-on exercises using SAP's latest business software. Now we are taking this initiative up a notch. Since the early days of SAP, we have made it a priority to engage with academics on a variety of innovative projects. Building on this engagement model, I made it a point to lead our University Alliances towards a Web 2.0 platform. This technology encourages professors and students to connect with each other as well as with our customers, partners, and experts on a global basis. It also provides access for you to a considerable knowledge base. The people who engage in the SAP Developer Network, the Business Process Expert Community, and the BusinessObjects community share a wealth of information. We fully expect that academic research will be enhanced thanks to the strong connections and joint projects between industry and professors that this platform enables. I am convinced that by actively participating in this community, we can make great strides in co-innovation. I have a strong personal interest in our University Alliances. As you may be aware, my career began as a university professor. Before joining SAP, I taught theoretical physics and computer science for many years. And I remain an active member of the German Academy of Science and Engineering. I do so because I see strong opportunities for innovation between the business and academic communities – both hotbeds of creativity. I believe that the University Alliances community portal will strengthen the influence of the academic community in the area of innovation. The University Alliances community further demonstrates SAP's longstanding commitment to the education and mentoring of university students. We want to help young people prepare for the global labor market, an increasingly competitive market. Given the right knowledge and skills, today’s talented students will be tomorrow’s innovators. They are the business experts and IT leaders of the future. UA Programm in Schweden gestatet

Im Rahmen der CeBIT 2009 wurde die Unterzeichnung einer Absichtserklärung zur Zusammenarbeit im Hochschulbereich zwischen der SANTE Academy, einem von mehreren skandinavischen Universitäten getragenen Joint Venture, der schwedischen SAP Anwendervereinigung SAPSA sowie der SAP University Alliances bekannt gegeben.
